June RoundtableThank You Meeting at Alverthorpe Park
Wednesday June 11, 2014

(Enter the Park from the Jenkintown Road Camping Entrance)

 
Those planning to attend are asked to contact Bill Niehoff at niehoffb@hotmail.com no later than June 4th.  Attendees are asked to bring hotdogs or hamburgers and buns for 8.  Our OA youth will be meeting at the park that evening as well.  Camp chairs are recommended.

Level 2 Archery Instructor Course Being Offered June 7-8.

Michael Gipson, (Pack 675) is coordinating a Level 2 Archery Instructor's Course as one of his Woodbadge Tickets. This course is needed for those who want to be able to open an archery range.   The Course is being offered at the Bucks County Fish and Game Association of persons 18 years of age or older. Cost is $120. Course length is 12-20 hours.  Interested persons should contact Mike Gipson at 267-575-6788 or Michael.gipson@gmail.com.

 Camp Card Sales
 
Thank you to all who participated in the camp card sale this spring. A reminder that the camp card sale comes to a close on June 1, 2014. Unsold cards should be returned to unit leaders to return to counsel.  Units are reminded of the following return dates and commissions:
06/13/14 Payment Due @ 50% Commission
06/27/14 Payment Due @ 35% Commission
07/11/14 Payment Due @ 25% Commission.

June 4: District Committee Meeting 7:30 PM at North Penn VFW.

June 7, 8: Cub Scout Carnival (8:15 am – 4:00 pm) at Musser Scout Reservation (online registration)

June 11: Roundtable Thank You Cookout

July 14-18: Cub Scout Day Camp at Bryn Athyn Church School (online registration is open for Cub participants, youth and adult volunteers at Colbsa.org)

August 16: District/Council Blood Drive (9am-3pm)

September 21: Baloo training (location in district TBA)

October 3: District Campfire (youth and adults), Alverthorpe Park (7:00 pm)

October 11: SM/ASM training (Details to follow)

November 8: Webelos College (Training will also be offered this day.  Details will follow)

Units are encouraged to take advantage of the following community based events to help promote their unit:

We invite and encourage all of our units to support and participate in the August 16th Blood Drive from 9am-3pm at the Willow Grove Giant.  Unit information packets will be available at the June Roundtable, including donor commitment cards so that appointments can be made for those who plan to give blood.
