Thanks again for participating in this year's Popcorn fundraiser. This year's sale was a success for the units in our district. An update from our previously reported numbers, after some last minute orders and online sales, our District has increased overall sales by 6%, with $31500 going back to units!

Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Venturing and Sea Scout Units please come and join us for the annual district campfire for an evening of snacks, songs, skits fun and laughter!!!  Our hosts for this year's campfire are the Scouts of Overlook Hills Troop 72.   Seating is limited at the lake pavilion, so please bring along a chair if you would prefer to be seated during the campfire program.  Please enter the park through the Jenkintown Road gate, on your left between Meetinghouse Road and Forrest Avenue.  There will be a sign posted and lantern on the fence to mark the entrance.

PACK 1884 Cub Scout Fall Festivals 2013 Trip - Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013 8 AM; CONFIRM your tickets by Tues. 10/22/13!


Cub Scout Fall Festivals 2013


PACK 1884 is attending the 2013 Fall Festival and has reserved 6 Scout ($20 each) and 6 Adult ($5 each) spots. PLEASE RSVP to joel.csp1884@gmail.com or via Tel: 215-740-6701 ASAP to reserve / confirm your spot(s). 

- Friends and Siblings can attend for $5, however will not be provided materials
- PACK will subsidize $10 for each scout that has participated in a Popcorn Sale
- Parent can use proceeds in Scout Account (if earned) to pay for balance of trip (May yield a FREE trip for Scout :)
- You must complete BSA Medical Form Part A & B and Grandview Hospital form below and turn in on Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013
- We will be finalizing the TRIP UNIT ROSTER on Tuesday.

Come out for a great day celebrating Scouting in the great outdoors
Seasonal cooking and activities will entertain Cub Scouts alongside classics stations like BBs shooting and Archery. Hundreds of Cub Scouts have participated at this fantastic event in the past and plan to attend again this year. Will you join in the fun this fall? The dates are:October 19th, 20th, 26th, or 27th.
This event is for Cub Scouts - at every station all Scouts will participate FIRST. However, your whole family, den, or Pack is welcome to attend and all who register will eat their fill in the Dining Hall and receive an event patch! This event is "Rain or Shine!"
Check-in starts at 8Am to 8:30Am and the program begins promptly at 9Am. The Closing Ceremony will take place at 4Pm.
Don't Forget, When you come to registration, have the following forms ready to turn in:

Each day is limited to 250 Scouts participating. Scouts must attend as part of a group or with their parent and be accompanied by adults throughout the event. Scout fee is $20 and adults/siblings pay $5.

We are off to a great start with our Popcorn Sales! We have sold 2/3 of our product ($2,000 of $3,000) in just two weekend sales. If we can SELL OUT by Oct. 31, 2013, we will have earned $1,000 for our Pack!

Setup Volunteers Needed  8am @ church

We have also been given permission to sell popcorn at the Elkins Park Post Office on Ashbourne Road, every Saturday for the month of October. The time slots are from 9-12pm.

Whether you are new to the program or a veteran of years, the University provides interesting courses in all areas of Scouting, including Position Specific Training.

For Scouts: Den Chief Training is the only youth course being offered.

Lunch is included and everyone attends the informative midway with our Program Partners.

Adult Leaders Online Training! Goal for Completion Tue. 11/12/2013!



All adult leaders should be trained to ensure best possible program for the boys. All Cub Scouts training can be done online! Each training course is no more than 30 minutes and you can be fully trained in less than 2 hours! :)

  • All Uniformed Leaders (Asst. Den Leaders, Den Leaders, Asst. Cubmaster and Cubmaster)

3rd Annual Cub Scout Fall Festivals 2013



PACK 1884 Parents & Leaders,

We are planning to attend this year's Fall Festival either on Saturday, Oct. 26 or Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013.

The event runs from 8:30 AM to 3: 00 PM

If we attend church on Sunday at 7:45 AM service, we will be late to camp and miss much of the activities.

Please send me an e-mail  to joel.csp1884@gmail.com ASAP with your Date Preference for this Trip. Thank you.
