Hello all,
I am emailing again to let you know that I would love to come out and give a brief 5 minute presentation to your pack about attending day camp. We are also hoping to start recruiting adult leaders at this time. We need program area staff and den leaders.
Some of you have not scheduled us to appear until March, if it all. The deadline for camperships ( financial aid) is March 1. Please contact your pack about day camp and if they need a campership they must turn in the paperwork by March 1.
Here is a link to the application

Another way to receive a deep discount for their son to attend day camp is to volunteer for the week. What does that mean? All volunteers will need to complete some online youth protection training, if they have not already done so. Then they will come on site, in Bryn Athyn,  for a Saturday in late June and receive additional training that is specific to day camp and safe scouting practices. The added benefits of having a parent volunteer as a den leader are the boys are already familiar with them, and the parent is often then willing to take on a leadership role for the pack. It  often makes it possible for boys to car pool.

Day Camp dates are July 14 - 18 in Bryn Athyn PA. Our theme is Knights. We will be providing a lot of fun opportunities for the boys, including bb gun shooting and archery. I am certain most of you have plenty on your plate and if you are willing and able to recruit a parent to be your day camp contact that would be great. Even if your pack only has a few boys interested, please encourage the parents to sign them up.

Memories of fun at day camp is part of what carries boys into Boy Scouts.

YIS,
Hayley Gunther and Andrea Cranch
