Success Stories from Around the Council

Pack 25 in Scoutreach District completed a Camp Card Blitz day going door to door in lower Kensington. Despite pouring rain the unit sold 100 Camp Cards in their quest to get to camp!

Ten Scouts in full uniform from Pack 676 in Scoutreach District spent five hours at the Willow Grove Mall and sold 200 Camp Cards.

Does your unit have a story to share? Email michael.oehmke@scouting.org

More Camp Cards, "Strive for 25 Turn-in" Payments

Each week we have twelve locations to distribute additional Camp Cards, turn in payments and "Strive for 25" entries. For locations and times go to www.colbsa.org/campcard.

How do I sign-up my unit?

The easiest is to go to www.colbsa.org/campcard and complete the online commitment form. We will get you your cards and sales kits in about 48 hours.

I don't know if our unit is participating...

Talk to your unit leadership. You can participate as a unit, a den, a patrol or even as a small group. We want to help you get your Scouts to camp.

Where can I learn more about the sale?

Call your district executive, quality unit executive or check out our website www.colbsa.org/campcard for more information.

Tuesday, April 22, 2014 has been chosen as Abington’s Local Scout Day.  Scouts in the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades from Abington Township are eligible to participate.  The Scouts are asked to assemble in the Board Room on the second floor of the Abington Township Municipal Building located at 1176 Old York Road, Abington, PA at 8:00 a.m.

After a tour of Township facilities, the Scouts will be taken to the Township’s Public Safety Training Annex (at the end of Flore Land, off Easton Rd.) at 1:10 for a luncheon.  Abington School District students must bring their school’s Parental Permission form.  Students from parochial or private schools must bring their school’s Parental Permission form as well.  Students will be returned to their schools by Township personnel at 2:15 PM.

Please respond to me no later than April 10th.

There is a limit of 25 Scouts and it is first come, first served.

Yours In Scouting,

Joe Leiss
